Creative Dance without Borders: Heading to Greece!

Bringing Portuguese creative dance to the Summer4All event, providing our dancers with an artistic and cultural exchange experience. The funds raised will cover expenses. Support us and let's expand the frontiers of culture!

This campaign aims to make a dream come true: to bring Confi Creative Dance to Greece! We are Confi Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting dance and creative expression for all ages and levels. Since 2020, we have been encouraging the artistic development of our students, helping them discover the potential and beauty of dance. Conf for CONFIDENCE , I for Inclusion .

Now, the opportunity has arisen to take this work beyond borders and provide our dancers with the unforgettable experience of a cultural exchange in Greece, at the renowned Summer4All event, where they will be able to learn and share with other cultures, showcasing the best of what is done in creative dance in Portugal. This trip will mean the encounter between traditions and new styles, inspiring our students and strengthening their artistic identities.

With your support, our dancers will be able to travel safely, with their transportation, food and accommodation costs covered, allowing them to focus solely on dancing and enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This campaign also allows our students’ families, many of whom have limited resources, to see their children achieve this dream.

About the author

Confi Arte Associação Cultural e Artística is a non-profit organization dedicated to democratizing access to dance and artistic development. Founded in 2020 by professor Liliana Gameiro, Confi was born as a project of inclusion and creative expression, offering a welcoming and stimulating space for the development of creative dance. Since its creation, we have held the Confi Festival bi-annually, which celebrates the talent and dedication of our students and promotes dance as an art form accessible to all.

At Confi, we believe that dance is more than just physical movement – it is a universal language that fosters communication, confidence and personal development. Our goal is to provide meaningful experiences for our students through classes, workshops and events that stimulate imagination, discipline and the unique expression of each individual.

Our motto is "Dance for All" which expresses the warm welcome we have for all who want to join us, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, physical or mental limitations. Our name is the combination of the words TRUST and INCLUSION.

In addition to local activities, Confi dreams of building bridges with other cultures and giving our students the opportunity to share the stage with young people from other countries. This year, we want to take the big step of bringing creative dance to Greece, promoting a cultural and artistic exchange that will enrich the lives of our dancers and strengthen our ties with the international artistic community.

Budget and due dates

In order for our 11 young dancers, together with their teacher and 2 assistants, to be able to participate in this international dance event in Greece, we have drawn up a detailed budget, including the costs of transport, accommodation and food.

The event will take place between June 30th and July 5th, and the estimated total cost for each participant is as follows:

• Accommodation: €280 per person for 5 nights in a 2-star hotel, in triple rooms, with breakfast and dinner included.
• Travel (round trip): Estimated €290 per person.
• Food (snacks and lunch): Approximately €15 per day, totaling €75 per person for the 5 days of the event.

Total Budget

For a total of 14 people, the estimated cost is:

• Accommodation: €280 x 14 people = €3,920
• Trip: €290 x 14 people = €4,060
• Food: €75 x 14 people = €1,050

Total Campaign Cost: €9,030

Calendarization

1. Until December 10, 2024: Carrying out the 1st phase of fundraising and resource mobilization campaigns.
2. December 11 to 20, 2024: Organization of all logistical details (flight and accommodation reservations) to benefit from the estimated values, because if it is later, this value could double or even triple.
3. January 1 to May 30, 2025: Carrying out the 2nd phase of fundraising campaigns and mobilizing resources for food and other expenses that may arise.
4. June 2025: Final preparation for the trip, intensive training of the dancers, and final review of travel and accommodation details.

With this budget and timeline, we are ready to take this big step and bring our creative dance to Greece. We would like to thank all the support from our sponsors and the community, because together we will make this dream possible!
