Help for China and Branquinho, looking after Scrooge without a Home

We need help to settle the veterinary bills of China and Branquinho, which were admitted almost simultaneously, to the Veterinary Hospital of Santa Marinha and this hospitalization lasted more than a month, given the severity of their condition.

Dear friends, Associação Patinhas sem Lar em Espinho, with a canine shelter that houses 110 dogs and a cattery with a capacity for 80 cats, has huge requests for help for abandoned cats, in very bad condition. We highlight the history of China and Branqinho, who entered almost simultaneously at the Veterinary Hospital of Santa Marinha, having been hospitalized for more than 1 month, given the severity of their condition. China lived in a colony of cats, until his caregiver found that he did not move, completely apathetic. He came to us in a cardboard box, was assisted at the hospital, where he was found to have severe renal failure due to urinary obstruction. He had to be operated and between the surgery and the hospitalization, we were left with a debt of 1300 euros, as you can see on the bills. Fortunately, one of her caregivers, the assistant Cláudia, decided to adopt him. Branquinho was found on the street with extensive burns, perhaps acquired from the engine of a car, and his treatment was 570 euros. Fortunately, he has fully recovered, is in the shelter, has not yet been adopted. We ask for your help to pay the veterinary bills for these two big bucks, which exceed 1800 euros. Thank you all.

My name is Ana Paula Castro, I am 55 years old, I am a doctor with the specialty of Clinical Pathology, and a guest professor of Medical Microbiology at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) in Porto.

My passion for animals, led me to create the Patinhas Homeless Association, 8 years ago, in Espinho, in collaboration with other people, who, like me, are sensitive to the animal cause. At the time, the purpose of creating the association was to care for 70 dogs that were abandoned on isolated land in Paramos, Espinho. Since then, we have collected and given over 2000 dogs and cats for adoption. Our aim is that the collected animals are housed as little time as possible. After basic veterinary care, which includes deworming, vaccination and sterilization, they are disseminated on various platforms to promote their responsible adoption. The motivation for this project is to make the care we provide viable, by settling part of the veterinary debts we assume.

Budget and due dates

The settlement of the veterinary bills related to the treatment of China and Branquinho, in the total amount of 1800 euros will be carried out as soon as we collect this amount. Implanting immediately.
