Fundraising - Charlie Teo Foundation (Australia)

In the 3rd season of my podcast «Movimento Inverso» I assume a social objective. A cause and an institution will be chosen and the donation will be made in full. This time we have the Australian Foundation - Charles Teo Foundation.

In Portugal, we don't have much of a culture of foundations that finance research - apart from the exceptions of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Champalimaud Foundation.

The Charlie Teo Foundation is an Australian foundation that funds research projects that focus on brain cancers. This type of pathology in particular has not advanced substantially in recent decades, despite all the efforts.

We live in a time of turmoil, with more and more widespread gestures of self-expression. We must take the next step. Cooperation is the solution to many of the calamities we are experiencing today. Cooperation and thinking about the other. The next step to excess entertainment is to take on and resolve the most pressing social causes.

The Charlie Teo Foundation does just that.

Although it is a personal project, it does not have to be inconsequential, so I am going to give it a fundraising nature.

Budget and due dates

Personally, I will always contribute with values between 50-100 €, regardless of whether the objective is achieved.

The € 500 will contribute to the Charlie Teo Foundation to continue with its mission of supporting research projects in a complementary way to the current funding and research routes.
