Caring Hands, Helping Hearts

I work at Casa Menino Jesus. This campaign originated from a WhatsApp group that decided to stay united. The funds raised will allow us to offer holidays to children and young people, creating well-being, development, and happy memories.

My name is Carolina and I work at the Casa Menino Jesus nursery, an institution that welcomes and cares for children and young people, providing them with security, affection and opportunities for a better future. It also includes a daycare/nursery for the community. ✨

This fundraising campaign originated from a WhatsApp group I previously managed, created to raise money for voting for contestants Pedro and Marisa on the last season of Secret Story . After that season ended, in conversation and joint decision with the members who chose to remain in the group, we felt it didn't make sense to end our union there. On the contrary, we realized that together we could continue to make a difference—this time for good causes .

Therefore, we decided to direct our strength and solidarity to help an institution, and in a very special way, the chosen one was Casa Menino Jesus . I approached one of the board members to present this idea, ask for permission to proceed, and understand what the institution's greatest needs would be, since our goal has always been to provide monetary support where it is truly useful.

Following this conversation, we reached a consensus: the funds raised will be used to provide future holidays for the children and young people of the institution — an opportunity for leisure, rest and the creation of happy memories, something so important for their emotional development and well-being.

This campaign has a very special meaning in my life, as it unites two fundamental parts of who I am: my professional and emotional involvement with Casa Menino Jesus and the strength of a group that decided to remain united to help those who need it most.

Together , with small gestures and big hearts, we will try to achieve this goal and offer moments of joy to those who so deserve it. ❤️

I am part of the team at the Casa Menino Jesus nursery, an institution that is not only my workplace, but also a space where affection, care, and dreams grow. Daily contact with the children and young people of this home allows me to closely understand their needs, their smiles, and also the challenges they face. It is this closeness that motivates me to act and want to do more, and in this case, together with a number of people, we decided to join forces for a greater good.

Budget and due dates

Our goal is to raise this amount so we can provide holidays for the children and young people, and if there is any money left over, we can use it to purchase essential items for them.
