By the hands of our land

Local crafts are an expression of our culture, creativity and identity. We want to create an association of artisans that represents, supports and values manual work in Entroncamento and the surrounding area.

In the heart of Entroncamento, there is a precious talent: craftsmanship.

Over the years, our city's artisans have created unique pieces that reflect the passion, creativity and soul of our region. Decorative soaps, jewelry, ceramics, embroidery, macramé and many other artistic expressions are born here, made with dedication and affection by those who value what is genuine.

Our city, despite its strong railway tradition, has a lot to offer when it comes to culture and creativity. However, in order for local crafts to gain the visibility and support they deserve, it is essential to take an important step: the creation of an artisans’ association. This association will be the necessary structure to unite all those who make crafts their passion, giving them a voice and offering them opportunities to grow, be recognized and strengthen our community.

This movement is not limited to the artisans of Entroncamento; we want to include all those from neighboring regions and beyond who enrich our work with their creativity. Together, we can build a solid network that promotes events, encourages the exchange of experiences and shows the world the richness of what we do.

The goal of our crowdfunding campaign is precisely this: to create an association of artisans that represents all those who work in the craft sector, promoting their appreciation, visibility and sustainability. With your support, we can build a platform that allows local crafts to flourish, that strengthens our presence at events and that inspires new generations to follow this creative path.

We believe that together we can transform our art into a movement with cultural and economic impact. Therefore, we invite everyone to join us in this project. Support, share and participate. About the author

My name is Patrícia Marques Vicente and I live in Entroncamento. I am a craftswoman who makes decorative and perfumed soaps and I am promoting this initiative, but I am not alone. We are a small group of female artisans, united by our passion for what we do and our desire to give visibility to the crafts of Entroncamento and the surrounding area.

Who are we?

Cesarina Conceição: Creates pieces using macramé, crochet and creative sewing, such as panels, keychains, bracelets, hats, bags, purses and much more. She reuses fabrics, such as jeans and shirts, to create new items, as well as recycling towels and making cement vases.

Purificação Veigas: Works with patchwork, producing bags, quilts, towels, cushions and other items full of detail and dedication.

Jandira Figueira: Makes aprons, turbans, bags, necklaces and blouses, especially with African fabrics, which celebrate cultural diversity.

Maria da Luz Costa: Creates sustainable pieces, transforming newspapers and magazines into unique articles full of personality.

Eulália Fernandes: She dedicates herself to handmade jewelry, bringing originality and style to her creations.

Sara Anjos: Produces decorative, scented and charming handmade candles.

Diana Coelho: Makes delicate and elegant satin roses that will delight any space.

Paula Reis: She makes little witches and fairies out of felt and wool, among other vibrant works.

What moves us?

We are all part of this idea. We want to showcase what we do, celebrate artisanal talent and, who knows, create a space where this work is valued and recognized. This is the beginning of something we want to build together, with dedication and purpose.

The remaining amount of €164.04

It will be for additional registrations or fees that may arise during the formal association process.

Otherwise it will be used to promote the association.

Once the amount is raised, we hope to create the association in late February, early March 2025.
