Specialized Therapeutic Leisure Center - Fun4You

AMAR 21 requires a space with the minimum conditions for a successful implementation of the "Specialized Therapeutic Leisure Center" project.

The campaign " Therapeutic Leisure Center - Fun4You" aims to acquire space that meets the minimum conditions for the realization of the project of the association that has the same name as the present campaign. The space that AMAR 21 intends to acquire is essential for the accomplishment of an ambitious project that includes support services for pregnant women and newborns, parental education projects and family support groups, vocational and professional guidance for the disabled person, group autonomy for life, multidisciplinary therapeutic intervention, support for specialized study, recreation and leisure activities and specialized babysitting service. Fun4You will be partner of another project of the association - (Re) Invent Food, that provides professional training to young people and adults with deficiencies in the kitchen area, pastry and attendance to the public. This space will receive the trainees to carry out professional internships in the various areas and give the opportunities of possible jobs after training. It will also consolidate required skills for professional training, support and complementary training with access to specialized professionals, in order to achieve a more complete and realistic training.

Due to the recent growth of the association and the implementation of the two projects mentioned above, AMAR 21 has lacks of space that guarantees properly equipped rooms / offices that answers to the needs, as well as the conditions for our users to grow as individuals, to become excellent professionals and even have a job. A space designed for disabled persons, a person with a deficiency and with the person with a deficiency.

About the author

The promoters of this project, we have the collaboration of the president and vice-president of the association AMAR 21, Alexandra Lopes and Daniela Gomes. Both are mothers of children with Trisomy 21, Helena and Bernardo, and are aware of the difficulty of many other families in having adequate responses for their children / families, the daily struggle for AMAR 21 to provide a quality service and adapted to each individuality. The work is always done in collaboration with the technical team of the institution, which seeks the difference in its way of acting and that strives for each person to be unique, special and above all, happy. AMAR 21 deals with people with disabilities, but not only, it also guides families, so that together they can grow into autonomous people, included in society and DREAMERS, with A Future for All.

Budget and due dates

We appeal to the sensitivity of each supporter to donate their value unconditionally, so that the money is assigned to the association even if the campaign is not funded.

The goal of our campaign is to raise at least € 4815 by June 5, 2018.

The amount raised will be implemented in the following expenses:

4500€ - one year's space rent for the Specialized Therapeutic Leisure Center, referring to a monthly income of € 1000.

225€ - PPL Commission

90€ – Payment partner commission (VAT)
