We are defined by inclusion, Mexicans residing abroud for various professional activities, children of Mexicans so that they live that bond with their country of origin, foreigners married to Mexicans who are now Mexicans too.

We practice Gymnastics for All, a sport that you can practice all your life, at any age, with any level of gymnastics. Our team includes children, teenagers, adults, even a pregnant participant who is about to receive our new Mexican Portuguese, which makes us very excited and proves that it is a sport that can be practiced from 0 years old.

We are currently raising funds to carry out this project, which we have been working since 2 years ago. Being part of the delegation is a volunteering of each participant, where among the biggest expenses to be made are registration for the event, accommodation, food and official national uniforms.

Your support will allow us to tell the world with our actions that it is possible to achieve our goals as we are currently doing. And the wonderful experience of living a challenge with people who come together around the world with a single sporting objective.

We would like to point out that World Gymnaestrada is held every 4 years, and that in 2027 the venue will be Lisbon, Portugal. We are sure that this is the beginning of this sports movement to integrate gymnastics from all over the world. We are considered for Mexico the 33rd State, as Mexico has 32 States and all Mexicans abroad make up this state of Mexicans around the world. We share a video of the Mexican Delegation at the last World Gymnaestrada held before the pandemic in 2019.

About the author

Our initiative emerges as a project of the Red Global MX Portugal Chapter , which with the support of other chapters of the Red Global MX Network and the Institute of Mexicans Abroad IME helped to spread information with the community to make this team possible, and in cooperation with the Mexican Gymnastics Federation , which also included us in the Gymnastics for All modality program, we achieved the register to officially participate at an international level. 

During the World Gymnaestrada we will participate in a City Presentation with the musical soundtrack "Sabor a México".

We are also part of the "World Team" where we will participate in a massive choreography that will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam, this is a presentation in which many countries of the world work together. There are no nations, just citizens of the world united by the sport of gymnastics.

We still don't have presentation dates but we can anticipate that we will be part of the Closing of World Gymnaestrada with the participation in the World Team.

We participated online in the Gymnastics for everybody Festival in Mexico 2022 organized by the Mexican Gymnastics Federation to have our guaranteed pass to World Gymnaestrada in Amsterdam. This is one of our official trainings that we do remotely and from different countries at a distance for our City Presentation. We are happy to share this exciting life experience with you, help us motivate the world to continue to move and live physically and healthily.

Budget and due dates

We want to have and live in a healthy society contributing to our gymnastics project, this requires a lot of work, initiative, willpower, time and resources. Thank you for being part of our team. When somebody leaves his country of origin, whatever the reason, is always connected to it and we never imagined having the opportunity and pride to represent it. Doing it through a cause that actively involves teamwork, friendship, culture, sport and health is really a disciplined effort that we want to share through our example with creativity and dedication.

We are 12 official members within our project, and we have to comply with the payments that are made through the International Gymnastics Federations (in our case the Mexican Federation) to the Organizing Committee of the World Gymnestrada of the International Gymnastics Federation.

We will cover our registration as official participants , which is a credential that identifies us and allows us to have transportation throughout the event, such as gymnasts access to all official venues and the use of gym facilities and materials for our presentations. This registration costs €275 per participant.

It is an international mega-event with a number of participants greater than the number of athletes present at the Olympic Games, accommodation is in local schools close to the official venues of the event, the coexistence of the community is incredible both for the Dutch people who will receive it, as well as for international delegations. Schools will become our homes during Gymnaestrada, classrooms are adapted so that we can sleep, and several countries share a school for this activity. It's very exciting because school children in Amsterdam know in advance which countries will be staying at their school, and fill them with drawings, flags and little gifts both from the local culture and from the culture of the countries they are going to receive. The spirit at all times is to share, the value for each of our participants for accommodation is 275€.

The team will meet in Portugal the day before the departure to Gymnaestrada Mundial. We will arrive at the venues designated by the event on Friday, July 28th, and return to our countries on Sunday, August 6th, 2023. Organized in such a way that everyone can adapt and rest before the start of activities (before the opening) and sleep after the closing day to move the delegations with their departures the next day.

About food, throughout the event meals are held in pavilions and spaces adapted to all participants in the world, they are distributed by breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is in this context that we count on your support in this campaign for the payment of these meals: with a value of €660 per participant.

For our national uniforms, payment must be made through our Mexican Gymnastics Federation. This delegation has 252 registered participants, which 12 are from our State33. Every day, according to the regulation, we must wear some parts of the uniform. In addition to the mentioned national uniform, we also have to bear the costs of clothing for the group's presentation. Therefore, our budget per participant for these two expenses combined is €300 for each gymnast.

These two groups of expenses mentioned above are just some of the most relevant expenses that we are preparing to cover. The total cost is €18,150, of which we aim to reach €13,500 with this campaign.

During the 11 days of our stay for the event, we will receive the indications from the organization as a team. As the activities are carried out and organized based on the participation of the full Delegation, we have to adapt according to the functioning and rules of this mega event.

By May 15th, our campaign must have reached at least 50% of the proposed value, and the end date of the campaign will be June 15th, 2023.
