Portela Dance towards the World Dance championship in Orlando

We have been, year after year, selected for the World Dance in Orlando. 2023 is the year we take Portugal in our heart towards The US.

All Dance is a dance competition held on a national, European and World level. Portela Dance has participated in the Portuguese competition for many years now and always manages to qualify for the other two competitions. However, we never had the pleasure and pride of being able to compete in any of the foreign events. The year the pandemic took off, we had planned to run in Italy, but like most people, we saw our wishes being postponed, and in this case, completely cancelled.

Last year we qualified again, and the plan to be present at the World competition, dressed in green and red, began to take shape. As you can imagine, the costs inherent to our participation in this event are unaffordable for the academy, so we started thinking about ways to raise money for this purpose. Several events and activities have been promoted by the group, aimming to raise funds for us to be present in this edition. From shows and dance competitions, to Matinés with snacks, and much more. All of this, always with the determination of those who work hard, training after training, so that we could qualify again this year, yes, because without going to the podium in Portugal, we have no access to the World competition.

All Dance Portugal 2023 has arrived and our work has once again qualified for the World Cup. The negative factor is that our dedication to this beautiful art is not enough to take us to the other side of the world. This is why we need a little help from your side to represent our Portugal at All Dance World - Orlando. The amount we are asking does not cover the entire expense, but it would be a nice contribution that would make us very happy.

Portugal is not only good at football, or futsal, or handball. Portugal is good at all of this, and much more. We just need you to give us the opportunity to prove it to you.

We promise not to let you down, the Quinas will have their splendor represented, we just need your support to take the weapons on land and sea.

About the author

Portela Dance is a dance academy in Lisbon. Here we learn to feel, to breathe and to be Dance.

Our dancers are aged between 3 and 55, and are divided into different classes so that learning is done in a progressive way.

We explore Jazz, Modern, Acro, Tap and Contemporary styles, and we always do it with all the dedication and commitment.

Dance for us is a refuge, a safe place, a sea of possibilities, and the warmest corner of our hearts.

Budget and due dates

All Dance World will take place in Orlando USA from November 22nd to 26th, 2023.

As you can imagine, a trip to the other side of the world, becomes quite expensive. To give you an idea, the registration per dancer is around 350€, the flight around 700€, the stay around 200€, and all this not counting the food expenses that we will have.
