For me, art is a blessing that comes with a curse. Survival through art. Nathalie Emilienne makes an appeal.
Artist Nathalie Emilienne, 41 years old, of French origin but in Portugal since 1990. Since she knows herself, she has embraced, studied and created Art.
In 2009, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, linked to her emotions and the result of a turbulent family environment. A blessing in disguise, and vice versa. Currently, she lives on one-third of her disability pension, with the remaining money going toward rent and household expenses. Her livelihood depends on creating, developing, exhibiting, providing funded artistic residency opportunities, and expanding her work.
I ask for a simple monetary gesture received with appreciation,
and/or as a contribution, send me artistic material (e.g. canvases, pads of paper, paints and brushes...)
