Riding for a good cause!

"Running for a Good Cause!" is a campaign by Amigos dos Animais de Coruche that aims to raise funds to purchase a new vehicle to help stray animals.

We need your help to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals. Every day dozens of animals roam the streets, without a home or a family to take care of them, just with the aim of surviving one more day.

Our association has been dedicated to helping and rescuing these helpless and needy beings, always trying to find the most dignified solution.

As we are a non-profit association, our work has several constants, one of which is the need to have a reliable vehicle to help and collect these animals safely from and to the association, to the Collection Center, to a veterinary clinic or to any other location that is needed. Our current vehicle has had several mechanical problems and, in addition to being unreliable and not being authorized to leave the site after having failed the Mandatory Periodic Inspection, it stopped working entirely. After contacts with several garages, the answer was always that the repair would be very expensive and that it would be better to buy a new vehicle.

That's why we're launching this fundraising campaign for a new vehicle. With your precious help we can buy a new vehicle and go back to the streets!

We know times are tough but even the smallest donation can make a big difference in the lives of these animals. Every euro raised will go directly towards the purchase of the new vehicle so you can be sure your contribution will make a tangible impact!

Amigos dos Animais de Coruche is a non-profit animal protection association that operates in the Municipality of Coruche since 2002 and has several supporters and volunteers, acting as the need increases in an attempt to generate a response to the most diverse situations.

Legally named Associação dos Amigos dos Animais de Coruche, it was founded on April 9, 2002 as a non-profit animal protection association, and since then it has cooperated in the most diverse ways with the competent authorities in the application of animal welfare in the municipality. .

The work is daily and extensive, from the identification and collection of lost or abandoned animals, assistance to entities and individuals, reception and treatment of complaints and support to colonies registered in the CED program (Capture, Sterilize and Return).

Added to this is an active role in society promoting and raising awareness among different generations in order to reduce the number of stray and abandoned animals in the near future.

Volunteering is another of the association's areas of involvement, highlighting the support and collaboration in cleaning the Official Collection Center for Company Animals in Coruche (CROACC).

As an association that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it has a huge impact on the lives and daily lives of animals and people in the municipality.
