We want to offer emotional and social support, raising awareness about brain cancer and offering hope to those facing it. Your help is crucial, every support is a renewed hope. United for the Brain, Together for Life.

As the Association takes its first steps, we are aware of the challenges inherent to a newly formed entity. We recognize that APCCEREBRO faces financial limitations at this initial stage, but we believe that with your support, we will be able to support patients, family members and/or caregivers, promoting access to a society that is more aware, supportive and informed about this pathology.

Our goal is to raise €10,000 to take the first steps and ensure that APCCEREBRO's work is carried out effectively.

Why do we need your support?

As a newly formed association, we face financial challenges typical of our early days. However, with your support, we can provide:

• Psychological support : Offer emotional support to patients, family members and caregivers.

• Education and awareness : Promote information campaigns on the symptoms and available treatments, helping society to better understand this disease.

• Access to resources and information : Create a network of resources and educational materials for those facing a brain cancer diagnosis.

• Promoting solidarity and awareness : Working to ensure that society is better informed and united in the fight against this pathology.

About the author

The Portuguese Brain Cancer Association (APCCEREBRO) was created with the mission of supporting people diagnosed with brain cancer, as well as their families and caregivers, promoting a more aware, supportive and informed society about this pathology.

APCCEREBRO’s objectives are:

1. Support patients and their families by offering services that promote a better quality of life and help them face the physical, emotional and social challenges associated with brain cancer.
2. Promote awareness and consciousness in society , combating ignorance and stigma surrounding this disease, and encouraging empathy and community involvement.
3. Promote scientific research , establishing bridges between the academic community, health professionals and patients, in order to contribute to advances in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of affected people.
4. Build a solid and sustainable base for the Association's operations , focusing on internal organization, raising financial resources and strengthening strategic partnerships.

Budget and due dates

To take the first steps of APCCEREBRO, we need to raise €10,000. This money will be used to provide emotional support to patients, families and carers, launch awareness campaigns about symptoms and available treatments, create a network of educational resources and promote a more united society in the fight against brain cancer.

The fundraising campaign will run from February 28, 2025 to March 28, 2025. During this period, we will hold several activities and events to mobilize support and raise awareness in the community.
