The oldest and most traditional Carnival in the municipality of Odemira needs your support. Our Carnival is 100% volunteer-run, thanks to the dedication of its people... including neighbors, friends, and family.
We need support to acquire basic materials for our constructions: iron, paints, wire, glues, nails, among others. Our motto is to always recover and reuse the equipment we have, which is why the vehicles are inexpensive and ready for reuse the following year.
Our Carnival is made out of love for fun, social commentary, and humor...we don't want it to end.

The Carnival in São Luís is an explosion of color, celebration, and joy! However, we have faced some financial difficulties in recent years. After 25 years, we want to consolidate our organizational structure and formally create an Association.
We are a group of citizens of all ages who have come together to keep this tradition alive. Help us keep our Carnival alive...because it's genuine and fearless! We thrive on boisterous fun, boundless creativity, and a unique popular spirit – São Luís shows you how to do a real Carnival!
