A child silenced by fate. A stepmother devoted to the priest´s word. A demon who
insists on taking revenge.
Madalena is was born out of an extramarital relationship, and for this very reason she is the target of the visceral hatred of Piedade, the blind stepmother, of whom she takes care diligently. The reason for the hatred of Piedade is ancient and exquisite: she sees Madalena as responsible for the death of her son and his mistress, the mother of Madalena. In a burst of anger Piedade cuts Madalenas tongue, so that she will never to have to hear Madalena humming the melody of the music box she inherited from her mother . Silent and alone, Madalena is thus prevented from denouncing the priest who frequents the house and his body. The cleric, a mixture of sweat, wine and fat, is a regular guest of Piedade, devoutly confessed, and, from one lesson to another, defiles the innocence of Magdalene. Is the secret of Piedade safe and locked in the silent despair of Magdalene?

Wrote, produced and directed the suspense / horror (IN) Focus short film in 2016. In 2017, he produced and shot, with smartphone, the micro-short Vegan Girl, winner of the YORN Terror MicroCurtas contest of MOTELx - International Festival of Horror Cinema of Lisbon. In the same year, he directed and edited the short film Calipso, screened at numerous national and international festivals, nominated for the best Portuguese horror short film at MOTELx in 2018 and awarded an Honorable Mention at the Unrestricted View Horror Film Festival (London, 2018 ), Best Actress Award at the Hrizantema Festival (Serbia, 2018), Best Short Film at the Shortcutz in November (Lisbon, 2018) and Best Short Film at the Berlin Flash Film Festival in November (2018).
