wi.MAT is an ONLINE platform to fight SOCIAL ISOLATION

The wi.MAT project has the aim to create an online platform to connect users in order to tackle the problem of social isolation of active people, with +55 years. This project is in the final stage of Bet24 challenge and needs your help to happen!

wi.MAT is the idea of 3 friends to fight the problem of social isolation.

This project aims to create an ONLINE PLATFORM for people with more than 55 YEARS, who want to use their time to SHARE EXPERIENCES and TALK ABOUT THEIR INTERESTS, worldwide.

Based on these interests, the platform shows relevant News and Events to entertain users and have an SOS area with personal information of the users, hospitals and pharmacies close by, in case of need. This platform aims to have a set of features of gamification to involve users on the usage of this platform.

The figures show that even people with + 55 who are not familiar with technology are willing to use this kind of platforms in order to connect and talk with people they like to. Moreover, according to these studies, people of those ages occupy most of their time chatting.

So why do not combine these two things and connect people around the world to talk based on their personal interests and fight the social isolation?

Budget and due dates

The amount raised by crowdfunding will help to develop this service, in particular to finance a server, a database and the integration with the application.
The goal is to start creating an application with scalability in order to have the maximum number of users, from different parts of the world. We hope to have an application ready to use within 3 months (vbeta).
If we get more than € 1000 we would like to use the money to finance materials to publicize this service to be able to present it to people who could benefit from its use. The first version of the product ready to launch in the market should be ready after 6 months.
