We are Irene, Joana and Maria, dance students at the Covilhã Conservatory, and we were accepted at the 2020 Summer Dance Intensives, at the Joffrey Ballet School, one of the best in the world. We need your help to make our dream come true!

We are I rene Branco, Joana Monteiro and Maria Luísa Santos, students of the Articulated Dance Teaching at the Covilhã Music Conservatory, and we were admitted to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. After selection tests held in December, we were accepted to participate in the 2020 Summer Dance Intensives, which takes place next summer in New York. The Joffrey Ballet School , is one of the most prestigious dance schools in the world and a reference in dance education, so it would be a dream to be able to participate in this summer internship.

We dedicate many hours to daily work, with a lot of dedication and passion, because we know that this is the only way we can reach levels of excellence. For us it was a small reward for admission to the course, and we are highly motivated to make an excellent participation, but for that to happen we need your help. The costs of participation, as well as the other expenses, are high and we need all possible help to help us realize this dream, which is to be in one of the best schools in the world, working with the best in the world.

About the author

The 3 students, Irene Branco, Joana Monteiro and Maria Luísa Santos, admitted to the Summer Ballet Intensive of the prestigious Joffey Ballet School, started their journey in dance at 3, 6 and 6 years old, respectively. At the age of 10, they entered the Specialized Dance Course at the Conservatório de Música da Covilhã where they continued their studies in the teaching of Classical Dance Technique and where they started the study of other disciplines such as: Contemporary Dance Technique, Classical Repertoire, Contemporary Repertoire, Jazz Dance, Dramatic Expression, among others.

In this "still small" tour in the dance area, they have, whenever possible, participated in masterclasses of different dance techniques, national dance internships and have also provided tests for auditions and international dance competitions.
