Ava Short Film Crowdfunding

AVA is the name of this short fiction film that is the culmination of the ideas and artistic dreams of three university students. If you like supporting unique and artistic projects, this short film is perfect for you!

Audiovisual productions cost a lot of money and as students, we decided to create a crowdfunding campaign to try to get some help for this project. This campaign is not just about supporting the production of a film, but also supporting an issue as important to women as miscarriage.

Ava, a feminine name that means the one who lives, the voice, the desired one. Ava is the eternal reminder that miscarriage is something that happens much more than we see and that leaves much deeper marks engraved on the bodies and minds of the women who suffer it.

About the author

Hello! We are three third-year students of the Communication Sciences degree at the University of Minho: Joana Inês, Matilde Fernandes and Tiago Pinheiro. We are 20 years old and we are from Braga, Amares and Aveiro. The University of Minho brought us together for this very special project. We intend to raise some money so that we can carry out our ideas for this short film.

We are all three in the Audiovisual and Multimedia area of specialization and our dream is to make movies. We want to do something unique that will leave a lasting impression on those who watch it.

Budget and due dates

We are already in the pre-production process to align the details of this creative process.

We plan to start production on this short film in late March or early April. After that, we will begin the post-production process, which consists of editing the sound, images, and creating a poster and trailer.

Our goal is to raise money to cover transportation costs for the actors and crew, as well as food. If possible, we would also like to use the money to rent recording spaces, equipment, sets, wardrobe and props.
