All Dance Europe 2022

Help us make a dream come true!! We were qualified to participate in the All Dance Europe - Rome competition. We are currently trying to raise funds to cover travel and accommodation for eligible students.

Recently, and after 2 years without competing (due to this pandemic situation), we participated in All Dance Portugal, with two Street Jazz groups, both of which were awarded 1st place in their respective levels. This 1st place allowed us a direct qualification to compete in the international stage, All Dance Europe, which will take place in Rome.

In this way, qualified students came together in an attempt to raise funds to be able to make the trip and have the privilege of representing Portugal abroad. It is important to mention that we have already qualified for international competitions (about 4 times) and we were never able to participate due to economic difficulties.

Dancing on a stage is an incredible feeling, but being able to compete again after these 2 atypical years was even more special, it was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience.

We thank all those who are willing and able to contribute, they will undoubtedly be making a big dream come true.

About the author

My name is Carolina Horta and I'm a student at the Projeto Community dance school. I am representing the students in our group who are eligible to participate in the All Dance Europe - Italy/Rome competition. The two qualifying groups are made up of juniors, young people and adults (between 9 and 22 years old) and we compete in Street Jazz, where we won two first prizes. We are doing everything possible to raise funds to make this trip possible, and to be able to participate in our first European competition.

Budget and due dates

All the money we can raise will be used to help cover travel and accommodation for the students who will represent Portugal (in the All Dance Europe - Rome competition).

For each of the 21 students, the cost of travel and accommodation alone is around 300 euros (considering that air travel and accommodation may increase).

The competition will take place in Rome at the end of July this year.
