Anyone who drives in Portugal knows: parking has become synonymous with stress, wasted time, and conflict. We've accepted as "normal" driving in circles, double-parking, or leaving our phone numbers on the windshield. In other cases, we're the ones blocked in with no way to reach the other driver.
We don't accept it anymore.
URBIX is born from a simple manifesto: cities belong to people, and mobility should be collaborative. We, the drivers, have the power to change the streets today.
The Two Tools of the Solidarity Driver
The License Plate Messenger: Forget scraps of paper or exposing your number. Simply enter their plate into the platform — the message is sent 100% anonymously. We also provide a physical QR windshield sticker: the blocked driver scans the code and instantly alerts you to move — no arguments, no drama.
The URBIX Parking App: The technology that eliminates driving in circles. The app matches you in real-time with a Solidarity Driver leaving near your destination just seconds before you arrive. You arrive, the spot opens up, you park on the first try.

This campaign is about proving that drivers coming together can change the rules. We chose Ericeira for our official launch this August — the country's first stronghold of smart, solidarity-driven parking.

Hi! My name is Andrii Mandryk. I'm Ukrainian, but I chose the charming village of Ericeira as my home — the place where I live, create, and build my projects. As co-founder of URBIX, I lead an international team of engineers, designers, and urban mobility enthusiasts.
As the only team member based here in Portugal, I feel firsthand — especially now, with the summer buzz in Ericeira — the exact same traffic and parking frustrations as every other driver in our community.
We decided to combine our team's global talent and technology expertise to build a practical solution that is entirely people-centred and privacy-respecting. For us, URBIX is far more than an app: it's a civic movement to make our streets more fluid, human, and collaborative.
Budget and due dates
The €5,000 raised (net approximately €4,538 after PPL fees) will be allocated as follows:
- 50% | Software Infrastructure & Activation: Setup and activation of local servers, database costs, and API integrations for 100% anonymous licence plate messaging and push notifications.
- 30% | Optional QR Sticker Production: Printing and manufacturing of the first batch of quick-access windshield QR stickers, using premium, highly durable, UV-resistant materials.
- 20% | Logistics & Distribution: Packaging and postal shipping of stickers and membership kits to all backers in mainland Portugal and the islands.
Execution Timeline:
- July — Finalisation & Preparation: Campaign closes on PPL, founding Solidarity Driver database consolidated, physical QR stickers sent to production.
- August — The Grand Launch in Ericeira: Official activation of the URBIX Parking App and Licence Plate Messenger in Ericeira. Digital access opens for the local community to start matching spots in real time.
- September — Physical Distribution & Optimisation: Postal delivery of QR windshield stickers to all backers, and first platform updates based on real feedback from the streets of Ericeira.
