The Tour du Mont Blanc covers 170 km across 3 countries. The goal is to raise €1 for every kilometer completed, and since there are 5 of us, we are trying to reach the ambitious target of €850.
We are a group of five friends and this summer we are going to tackle the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB).
The TMB is one of the great trekking routes in the Alps and circles Mont Blanc, passing through France, Italy and Switzerland. It covers approximately 170 km of mountain terrain, with a total elevation gain of around 10,000 metres, passing through valleys, forests, villages and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Alps.
We’ll be completing the route in 10 days, carrying all the necessary kit with us and spending most of the journey camping.
But this time, I’d like this hike to have a meaning beyond the personal challenge.
That’s why I’ve decided to link my TMB to a fundraising campaign for two organisations based in the municipalities where we live: APERCIM in Mafra and APECI in Torres Vedras.
Both organisations share a core mission: to promote inclusion, independence and quality of life for people with disabilities, contributing to a society where everyone can participate fully. Just as on the TMB, where every step brings us closer to our goal, APERCIM and APECI also work every day to ensure that each person can move forward on their own path, with greater independence, inclusion and quality of life.
The idea is simple: every kilometre covered can also represent a small contribution to a cause that deserves to go further.
If you’d like to be part of this adventure, you can contribute via this fundraising campaign. Any amount, however small, counts.
170 km. 3 countries. 10 days. Various challenges. One cause.
Thank you to everyone who decides to walk with me, even if it’s from afar. ❤️🏔️
