A space for everyone, where we gather weekly to work on our vegetable common garden, socialize, and cook with what the land provides. Here we can also carry out environmental education, artistic, and social integration activities.
The Associação Movimento Terra Solta has found a new space after being forced to leave the Quinta Pedagógica de Campanhã, in the Centro Juvenil de Campanhã, due to the construction of the High-Speed Rail Line.
APPC welcomed us enthusiastically and provided us with land where we can continue to develop our project.
Organic farming is the main focus of Terra Solta. Through our garden, we promote contact with the land, sustainable production, learning, and the participation of all those who want to get to know and collaborate with us.
Terra Solta is also a space for environmental education, social inclusion, volunteering, and community interaction. Over the past year, we have carried out various activities, such as workshops on pruning fruit trees, identifying non-commercial edible plants, and several cultural, educational, and collaborative initiatives.
Every Saturday morning we opened our doors to the public so that everyone could learn about the project, work with us in our organic garden, feed the chickens, browse our community library, and participate in our community lunch, prepared with care and, whenever possible, with produce that the land itself provides.
In APPC's new space, we want to continue this work and, at the same time, involve its residents, giving new life to the outdoor area that has been designated for us. This new inclusive synergy will bring new learning to our community, and we are certain that good moments of sharing await us.
We already have a new plot of land. Now we need to create the necessary conditions to transform this space into the new home of Terra Solta.
Since it is not possible to construct a permanent building on the site, we will have to resort to two mobile shelters, each at least 12 m² (4 meters by 3 meters). One of the shelters will function as a small kitchen and the other as a multi-purpose room. These spaces will allow us to carry out our activities and hold our communal lunches throughout the year, including during the winter months.
Our goal is to raise €5,000 (500 of which will go towards fundraising fees), an amount that will allow us to create the necessary conditions to restart our usual activities in the new space.

We hope to be able to reopen the doors of Terra Solta very soon and welcome all those who wish to learn about, participate in, and be a part of this new phase.
