Let's keep the Teatro Lab Francisco Torrinha on stage! ⭐

Help us ensure the continuity of the Francisco Torrinha School's Theatre Lab. We want to keep this project, which promotes the growth, creativity, and confidence of around 20 children and young people through theatre, free of charge every week.

The Francisco Torrinha School's Lab Theatre was created in the 2025/2026 school year through the Collaborative Budget of the Union of Parishes of Aldoar, Foz do Douro and Nevogilde, allowing around 20 children and young people to have free access to a weekly artistic experience.

Throughout the year, this group learned much more than just theater; they learned to communicate, work as a team, gain confidence, and believe in their abilities. Their journey included two sold-out performances at the Garcia de Orta Auditorium.  

Despite applications submitted to ensure the project's continuity, it was not possible to obtain the necessary funding for the 2026/2027 academic year. We believe that a project with this impact deserves to continue growing. Until public funding is available to guarantee its continuity, we rely on the strength of the community to keep the Lab Theatre free and accessible to all students.

We don't want this project to end.

We want it to remain free and accessible to all students, regardless of their families' economic situation.

Therefore, we launched this campaign with a very specific goal: to raise €5,500 , an amount that will allow us to ensure a full academic year of weekly rehearsals, the creation of shows, costumes, set design, technical support, and participation in theater festivals.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help keep this stage alive.

Because we believe that theater transforms, brings people together, gives voice, and creates opportunities.

This campaign is promoted by the Parents' Association of the Francisco Torrinha School , in partnership with Espaço Aurora – Espaço Artístico de Aprendizagem , responsible for the artistic and pedagogical direction of Teatro Lab.

The Parents' Association's mission is to support initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of the school's children and young people, promoting educational, cultural, and active community participation opportunities.

Espaço Aurora develops art education projects for babies, children, and young people, believing in theatre as a tool for personal growth, creativity, communication, and citizenship.

Together, we want to ensure that Teatro Lab remains a free, accessible, and high-quality project for all students who wish to be part of this experience.

Note: The campaign value includes platform and payment processing fees, ensuring that the net amount available is fully applied to the development of Teatro Lab during the 2026/2027 academic year.
