A Stage of Glory in Silence

It all began with the echo of packed stands and the sound of the opening whistle. Once upon a time, this field was not just dirt and scrubland; it was an elite stage where the Portuguese Cup was played. There, generations of fans thrilled to historic victories and watched local talent flourish.

However, time passed. What was once a source of pride for the community became an abandoned and silent space. But the spirit of football tends to return to this place. Today, even with limitations, we are home to 300 young athletes who train with determination, dreaming of the day they will have a worthy "ground" to call home.

More than just a sport, a social cause.

Our TOCOF 2030 project was born from the urgent need to respond to these young people and so many others who are waiting for a place. Our story is one of transformation: we want to go from 300 to 500 athletes , becoming the main training center and a benchmark in Odivelas.

This campaign isn't just about installing artificial turf. It's about:

• Revitalizing the Community: Giving life to a forgotten space and directly supporting the neighboring school by providing a modern facility for its sporting activities.
• Inclusion and Support: To be a safe haven where sports training goes hand in hand with academic support and the social integration of our young people.
• Health and Future: Taking children out of the isolation of social media and the streets, bringing them into the discipline, health, and unity of team sports.

To make this happen, we have set a realistic target of €200,000 by 2030. This amount will be applied in phases: from cleaning and licensing, through drainage and soil preparation, to the much-desired green carpet where our future stars will grow.

Additional Information to Promote the Campaign

• Training Capacity: The new pitch will be designed to allow up to two 7-a-side football matches simultaneously , ensuring that our 500 children have decent, high-quality training times.
• Sustainability: The project includes high-efficiency LED lighting, reducing the ecological footprint and maintenance costs for the club.
• Transparency: All funds raised will be managed in an account exclusively for the project. The campaign will be updated regularly so that each supporter can see the real progress.
• Local Impact: Revitalizing this abandoned space will enhance the entire surrounding area and provide the local school with a sports facility it currently lacks.

About the author

The TOCOF Methodology Football Club is a rapidly growing youth development club with around 300 athletes, aged 5 to 17, both male and female, and 7 teams competing in official Lisbon Football Association competitions.

We are currently the only club in the municipality of Odivelas with two registered women's teams, playing a pioneering role in promoting women's football and in the sporting and social development of young people.

The club operates with its own methodology, based on values ​​such as commitment, discipline, teamwork, fair play, close relationships with families, technical knowledge, and solidarity. We invest in qualified coaches and excellent training.

At a competitive level, our teams regularly participate in the final stages of competitions, frequently finishing among the top 4, and are now a benchmark for youth development in the Lisbon district.

Beyond its sporting impact, the club has a strong community involvement, notably the rehabilitation of the sports facilities at the Pedro Alexandrino Secondary School and the ongoing project to rehabilitate disused sports spaces. We also maintain an active digital presence, with 6,000 to 10,000 regular views on social media, and we recently launched a book on the TOCOF Methodology.

We are more than a club; we are a community united by a passion for sport and a commitment to the future. With the TOCOF 2030 initiative, we are taking on the role of active promoters in the modernization of our infrastructure.
Our goal is to ensure that future generations have excellent conditions to train and grow. Through this PPL campaign, we are leading the effort to upgrade the Paiã Agricultural School field, starting with cleaning, leveling, and improving the stands.
