After a serious accident, 16-year-old Sofia is relearning how to live. Now she needs help to transform her home into a space where she can continue her recovery.
Sofia, from Alcobaça, was only 16 years old when, in December 2025, she suffered a serious car accident that changed her life forever. Until that moment, she was a young woman like so many others: full of dreams, plans, and the energy typical of her age. In an instant, all of that was suspended.
For three months, Sofia remained in a coma. Three months of uncertainty, waiting, and a silent struggle between life and death. When she finally woke up, she began an extremely demanding journey, which she continues to this day. Since April 2026, she has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation, relearning basic functions that many of us take for granted.
When the time comes to return home, a new obstacle is encountered. The family home, located on the third floor without an elevator, no longer fully meets their needs. What should be a place of comfort and relaxation has, in practice, become inaccessible.

Sofia está em processo de recuperação
For Sofia to return home safely and with dignity, several urgent adaptations are necessary. These include the installation of a stairlift, the construction of an access ramp on the public road, as well as interior renovations to the home, such as widening doorways and remodeling the bathroom. These changes are essential to guarantee mobility, the greatest possible autonomy, and basic quality of life.
Pedrinhas has already started this process, coordinating with the condominium and the Alcobaça City Council, but the completion of these works depends on financial support that the family cannot afford on its own.
That's why we launched this campaign.
We need everyone's help to give Sofia something that should be simple: the possibility of continuing her recovery in the comfort and safety of her own home. Every contribution will make a difference. Every donation will help transform barriers into access, limitations into possibilities, and an inaccessible space into a true home.
Sofia continues to fight every day. She hasn't given up, despite everything she's faced. Now, she needs others not to give up on her either.
