Help us create an equestrian sanctuary in the Alentejo region, built by us, focused on the well-being and rehabilitation of horses. We are seeking support for electricity, water, to bring this space of nature and respect to life.

Our Dream

Some time ago we started building, step by step, a project that stems from something very simple:
A love for horses, for nature, and for a more peaceful and meaningful life.

We have the land.
We already have some horses.
We have the will, the dedication, and many hours of work ahead of us.

What we still lack are the essential infrastructures that would allow us to take the next step.

We want to create a small equestrian heaven in the Alentejo region, where horses and people can find space, tranquility, and respect – a place where time slows down and where the connection with nature is genuine.

We don't want a mass-market or intensive space.
We want something simple and sustainable, with genuine concern for animal welfare.

A Project Built with Our Own Hands

This is a deeply personal project.

All the labor will be done by us, with our time, effort, and dedication.
Every fence, every shelter, every improvement will be built with our own hands.

We will only seek outside help for tasks that are completely outside our expertise, such as electrical installations, water drilling, and small, specific technical jobs.

This allows us to reduce costs, but also to maintain the spirit of the project:
A space built with care, calm, and intention.

Why do we need the support?

The funds raised will be used to take a step in the right direction, bringing electricity and water to the land.

This is fundamental to subsequently building the essential infrastructure that will bring the refuge to life.

Animal Welfare First

This project stems, above all, from respect for horses.

We believe that each horse is an individual, with:

Own rhythm
- Different physical state
- Unique personality
- Personal emotional needs

We don't want to force, accelerate, or exploit.

We want to work with horses, not about horses.

Therefore, activities will be limited and respectful of the animals, with rest periods and space for them to live in peace.

We also aim, whenever possible, to give horses a second chance.

Retirees
- With difficult stories
- Those who need recovery or tranquility.

Not all of them will be workhorses, and that's okay.
Some will simply be horses that find a safe place here.

What We Want to Create

A space where it is possible to:

Peaceful walks in nature
Contact with horses
Simple and authentic experiences.
Family visits
Horse rehabilitation
Moments of tranquility in the countryside.

A small, human, and genuine place.

If we exceed the target, the additional value will be used for:

- Build 6 boxes
- Create a 50x25 riding arena to exercise and care for the horses.

Rewards for Those Who Help Us

Those who support us will be part of this project from the very beginning.

Some of the rewards include:

  • Visits to the refuge
  • Contact with horses
  • Horseback riding
  • Experiences in nature
  • Rural weekends
  • "Sponsorship" of recovered horses
  • Iberian Trails

We want those who help us to feel that they are also part of this space.

A Project Built Together

We know this path will be taken slowly.
We know there will be a lot of work to do.
But we also know it's worth it.

This is not just a tourism project.
It's a lifelong project.

A place for horses.
A place for people.
A calmer, more humane, and more respectful place.

If this dream also resonates with you, we would be deeply grateful for your support.

Every contribution helps us take another step forward.
Every share helps us go further.

Thank you for being a part of this dream.

About the author

The project is promoted by Daniel, a professional with extensive experience in nature tourism and equestrian activities.

He is one of the few people in Portugal with a certified Equestrian Tourism Guide , a qualification recognized by Turismo de Portugal and the National Riding School, which allows him to create, open and register official equestrian routes - a rare skill at the national level.

With 37 years of experience working with horses , she combines practical knowledge, sensitivity in handling animals, and a strong concern and sensitivity for their physical and emotional well-being.

She also has 12 years of experience managing Abrigo d'Aventura , where she developed nature and adventure tourism activities, always focusing on safety, sustainability, and the quality of experiences.

Throughout his career, he also worked in various areas of active and adventure tourism, including:

  • Canoeing down the Vouga River
  • Activities with ropes and adventure, for 5 years.
  • Organizing off-road tours
  • Collaboration in organizing events for the Diário de Aveiro newspaper.

This diverse route reflects not only their experience, but also their ability to create authentic, safe experiences in direct contact with nature.

The project was born from a combination of experience, a passion for horses, and a solid understanding of nature tourism , with the goal of creating a sustainable, humane space that deeply respects animals.
