Julinha is my senior cat and my companion of many years. Since February, she has been facing a difficult battle against chronic pancreatitis and diabetes—conditions that have completely changed our daily lives.
Our days are now structured around strict medication schedules every 12 hours, including insulin and strong pain relief, along with constant monitoring, frequent vet visits, tests, and hospital stays. More recently, it was also discovered that she suffers from joint pain caused by a surgery that did not go well in 2021.
Above all, Julinha wants to live. She has remained stable thanks to intensive daily care, a specific diet, continuous medication, and regular veterinary follow-up.
A previous crowdfunding campaign and some generous support allowed us to continue her treatments and purchase new insulin pens. However, that support has since decreased, and the situation has once again become very difficult.
With my modest retirement pension, I do everything I can, but the ongoing costs—consultations, tests, medication, special food, and travel—have become unsustainable for me alone.
Even on the hardest days, Julinha still seeks affection, comfort, and peace. All I want is to give her quality of life, relieve her pain, and continue the treatments she depends on.
