As a first step towards collaboration, we will dedicate the next few months to producing two feature films in January and February of 2027.

Thus, two objects are born that aim to be disruptive, attractive to the public, and profoundly cinematic:

• THE FOURTH WALL, a dystopian romantic comedy that exists between the virtual and real worlds;
• THURSDAYS IN RESTELO, a surrealist noir thriller that blends crime, dark humor, and metafiction.

One of our main areas of focus is on fostering a dynamic relationship between cultural spaces and municipal councils, creative hubs, and creators.

Although we start from the film industry, our Association aims to create a network that allows for the distribution and co-creation of art, in any format.

The constant artistic and institutional collaboration of this movement will allow for the crossing of cultural centers and artists from all over the country, thus bringing culture to every corner of Portugal. Decentralizing culture.

As one of our missions is also integration into the job market, 50% of our team consists of people who have recently graduated in their artistic and cultural fields, a factor that we intend to perpetuate, with plans to integrate students and recent graduates over the years.

What does it mean to be fed up, if not to desire something better?

There comes a point when we stop accepting things as they are and begin to imagine them as they could become. It is at this moment that insolence is born: not from revolt for revolt's sake, but from the courage to believe that there is still room to create, build, and dream together.

The audacity that drives us is that of those who look at cinema and see more than just a screen. They see a meeting point, a tool for transformation, a place where stories come to life and find those who want to hear them. We live in a country of creators, of unique landscapes and voices. A country where culture doesn't belong only to the big cities, nor cinema only to a select few.

We believe that all communities deserve access to cultural creation, exhibition, and experience. That cinema can and should be a shared good.

Blessed be the audacity of those who pick up a camera and begin. Of those who open a door where there was once a wall. Of those who bring people together around an idea and transform it into reality. We believe that independent, accessible, and sustainable cinema is not a utopia; it is a concrete possibility. More than that, it is a collective responsibility towards culture and towards the future of Portuguese cinema.

We find ourselves at a moment when the conditions are right to establish Portuguese independent cinema as a space for free, diverse, and relevant creation, both within and beyond our borders.

The insolent are born from this conviction: that culture flourishes when it is shared, when it is decentralized, and when it belongs to everyone, because to be insolent is to refuse indifference, to choose to create, to believe that the best stories are yet to be told.
And so, blessed be insolence.

Budget and due dates

We believe that independent cinema is also built through alternative forms of financing, bringing projects closer to the people who believe in them. That's why we launched this crowdfunding campaign: so that everyone can be part of the creation of two feature films.

Our goal is to raise €15,000 to finance the pre-production of the two films , ensuring the necessary conditions to take them from idea to filming. We already have alternative funding sources and are in contact with brands and companies in the audiovisual sector, seeking to gather different forms of support.

Every donation makes a difference. Regardless of the amount, each contribution brings us closer to our goal and helps us make these films a reality. And even if you can't contribute financially, sharing the campaign is also a huge help!

We want to prove that when a community comes together, it's possible to create films in a freer, more independent, and decentralized way.
