Please help Europaradise Zoo rebuild after a devastating storm.
Europaradise is a Zoological Park in the town of Montemor-o-Velho, district of Coimbra, in the center of Portugal. We have in our care more than 300 animals of about sixty different species.
On january 28th, 2026, the violent winds of storm Kristin brought down many large trees, which destroyed or damaged animal enclosures, blocked the paths and the access to support infrastructure. Feeding and caring for the animals has been made difficult by the debris. A large instalation still in construction was severely damaged. To reach the state shown in the video, a lot of work had already been done, but a lot more will be necessary. Total losses may reach one hundred thousand euros.
If you can, please help us rebuild. This target amount is what is necessary just to be able to reopen to the public. Please contribute with a donation, and share our petition. All help is welcome.

Europaradise is a small Zoo with recognition as an Entity of Public Interest. It was established in 1998, in an area of typical mediterranean forest near the town of Montemor-o-Velho. It is its mission to provide visitors with access to and knowledge about a diverse number of animals, both exotic and native, as well as to educate to the need and urgency to preserve biodiversity.
We are asking for help from the community for the first time, so that we may continue to provide our animals with the best care, our visitors with an enjoyable visit, and so return to our mission.

Budget and due dates
Europaradise would like to reopen to the public in april of 2026, in time for good weather!
The amount raised will be applied in the following interventions:

Removal of debris from all paths

Rebuilding or rehabilitation of animal enclosures and fences

Rebuilding or rehabilitation of support infrastructures, such as sanitary facilities, electrical cables and lighting

Rebuilding or rehabilitation of paths and access routes.

Começam os trabalhos nos viveiros
Já retirámos as árvores que caíram por cima do viveiro do colobo-guereza, e removemos toda a estrutura exterior do viveiro dos lémures-de-cauda-anelada, que agora têm apenas o túnel e um pequeno espaço nas traseiras para apanhar o pouco sol que vai surgindo.
