Estrela needs orthopedic surgery to correct a cruciate ligament rupture and a bone deformity. Any contribution or share will be a huge help in giving Estrela the opportunity to grow and live without limitations.
Hello everybody.
This is my Estrela, a puppy who is only 9 months old.
She was recently diagnosed with two serious orthopedic problems:
- A ruptured cruciate ligament in the left hind leg, which prevents the leg from bearing weight properly.
- Radius Curvus in the left front paw, a bone deformity that is causing a progressive deviation of the paw during growth.
After evaluation by a team specializing in veterinary orthopedics, surgery was recommended to correct both problems. According to the veterinarians, the intervention on the front paw should be performed before she turns 12 months old to give her the best chance of recovery and a normal life. Estrela is still a very energetic puppy. She still wants to run, play and explore the world, but her paws can't keep up.
The estimated cost of surgeries, exams, and treatments is around €800 to €1000, an amount I cannot currently afford on my own. Therefore, with some shame but also a lot of hope, I am asking for help.
Any contribution, however small, will make a difference so that Estrela can have the opportunity to grow without these limitations.
