Help us develop CLIP MOVE™, a hybrid, modular, and customizable wheelchair designed to evolve with each person and offer greater autonomy, comfort, safety, and freedom.

CLIP MOVE™ — FREEDOM IS ALSO BUILT

A wheelchair should not be limited to transporting a person. It should accompany their life, adapt to their body, and evolve as their needs change.

CLIP MOVE™ was born with this vision: to develop a hybrid, modular, and customizable wheelchair, designed to offer greater autonomy, comfort, safety, and dignity.

THE PROBLEM

Many wheelchairs are rigid and poorly adaptable solutions. When the user's needs change, it may be necessary to replace much of the equipment, increasing costs.

Furthermore, different environments require different solutions: home, work, transportation, outdoor spaces, or more demanding terrain. A single configuration does not always adequately address all these situations.

THE SOLUTION

CLIP MOVE™ proposes a central structure capable of receiving different modules and components. The goal is to create a platform that can evolve with the user, adapting elements related to mobility, body support, control, comfort, and electric assistance.

The concept combines the simplicity of a manual wheelchair with the possibility of motorized assistance. The configuration will be defined through research, engineering, technical validation, and contact with users and experts.

The CLIP MOVE™ is currently a concept under development. This campaign does not fund a chair ready for sale. It funds the creation and validation of an initial functional proof of concept.

CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES

We intend to investigate user needs; define technical and ergonomic requirements; develop engineering and CAD models; study the modular structure; select materials and components; integrate motors, battery, electronics and controls; build the proof of concept; and conduct initial tests of functionality, stability and comfort.

BUDGET

PPL's objective is to raise €27,600, allowing them to obtain approximately €25,000 net after commissions and payment costs.

Projected distribution of the €25,000:

Research and validation: €2,500.
Engineering and CAD: €7,500.
Chassis and components: €5,000.
Motors, battery and electronics: €5,500.
Seat and ergonomics: €2,000.
Assembly and initial testing: €2,500.

STAGES AND TRANSPARENCY

The development process will involve research, requirements definition, engineering, component procurement, construction, integration, and initial testing.

Backers will receive updates on progress and challenges. The timeline may be subject to adjustments due to component availability, supplier availability, testing, or necessary security changes.

The CLIP MOVE™ will not be presented as a certified medical device until it meets the applicable technical, regulatory, and certification processes. The proof of concept will allow us to validate ideas, identify limitations, and prepare for a future development phase with specialized partners.

BECAUSE WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

The idea exists, the concept is defined, and the vision is clear. The next step requires engineering, materials, components, testing, and specialized collaboration.

Each support brings CLIP MOVE™ closer to its first proof of concept and helps demonstrate that mobility can be more adaptable, human, and prepared to accompany each individual.

We're not just designing a chair. We're building a new form of autonomy.

Freedom is also something that is built.

About the author

My name is Pedro Figueiredo and I am the creator of CLIP MOVE™, a concept integrated into the CLIP HOUSE™ ecosystem.

I believe that design and technology should solve real problems and improve people's lives. CLIP MOVE™ was born from this conviction: to imagine a wheelchair that can adapt to the needs of each user, evolving through replaceable modules instead of requiring the purchase of completely new equipment.

My role is to develop the vision, bring together the right people, and lead the project from concept to the first functional test.

I don't intend to replace the work of engineers, healthcare professionals, associations, or safety experts. On the contrary: I want to build CLIP MOVE™ with the participation of these areas and, above all, by listening to those who use wheelchairs every day.

This campaign represents the first step in transforming a visual and conceptual idea into a technically validated, transparent, and responsible project.

I commit to communicating the project's progress, the use of funds, the difficulties encountered, and the results of each phase.

Budget and due dates

BUDGET

The campaign has a target of €27,600. After commissions and payment costs indicated by the platform, we expect to have approximately €25,000 net for the development of the first functional proof of concept of CLIP MOVE™.

Estimated distribution of net worth:

• Research and validation with users and professionals — €2,500
• Engineering, technical drawing and CAD modeling — €7,500
• Chassis, structure and mechanical components — €5,000
• Motors, battery, controller and electronics — €5,500
• Ergonomic seat and development — €2,000
• Assembly, integration and initial testing — €2,500

Estimated total: €25,000

These figures are initial estimates. The distribution may be adjusted after obtaining technical proposals and quotes from suppliers. Any relevant changes will be communicated to the supporters.

SCHEDULE

The schedule begins after the transfer of funds and may be adjusted based on the availability of partners, components, and the results of each phase.

Months 1 and 2 — Investigation and validation

• Contact with wheelchair users;
• Consultation with rehabilitation professionals;
• Identifying priority needs;
• Defining the essential modules of the prototype.

Months 3 to 5 — Engineering and technical drawing

• Development of specifications;
• CAD modeling of the chassis;
• selection of materials;
• choice of motors, battery and controller;
• Preliminary stability and risk analysis.

Months 6 to 8 — Building the proof of concept

• Chassis production;
• Acquisition of components;
• Assembly of mechanical and electrical systems;
• Integration of removable modules;
• Programming and tuning the control.

Months 9 and 10 — First controlled tests

• Internal functional tests;
• Checking braking, range and stability;
• Preliminary ergonomic assessment;
• Identifying flaws and necessary improvements;
• Presentation of the results to the supporters.

RESULTS OF THIS CAMPAIGN

The expected outcome is an initial functional proof of concept, intended for controlled testing and initial technical validation.

This phase does not yet correspond to a certified product or one available for public use and commercialization. Subsequent phases will require specialized testing, technical documentation, regulatory assessment, possible reformulations, and additional funding.
