3º Direito is a short film that addresses complex topics such as bullying, the LGBTQ+ community and social anxiety.
As a proposal to complete a master's project in Audiovisual Communication at Escola Superior de Medias Artes e Design, we are going to produce a short film. In order to make this short film, we need funding so that we can pay for accommodation, scenery, food and various materials for the production of the film. In this sense, any help is welcome to make the entire project possible. If you are unable to help us in a monetary way, we ask that you share this crowdfunding with your friends, family and acquaintances.
SYNOPSIS OF THE FILM

STATEMENTS OF INTENT BY THE SCRIPTIST AND PRODUCER | CATIA OLIVEIRA
3º Direito is a drama that addresses complex and current issues such as bullying specifically in LGBTQ+ communities and also the junction with social anxiety. In this film, our protagonist, João Maria, is violently attacked for being homosexual, isolating himself at home. This isolation awakens the need to see something different in his daily life - and that's when his new neighbor arrives (who generates interest) - the film is triggered, leading the protagonist to overcome his internal conflict.
This film aims to alert what is still very recurrent, that in the daily life of any mere human being something different can happen to what happens with João Maria. Thus, in a delicate way important topics will be addressed so that the spectator feels involved and engaged. When this short film began to take shape, I realized how durable it could be because, unfortunately, no matter how long it takes, this theme continues to be very current and battled.
As a screenwriter and producer, I see this film as promising and that it will reach different generations where it will be possible to reproduce itself year after year, having passed this futuristic and ambitious vision to the director of the project Diogo Lopes - whom I trust he will transmit with clarity and sensitivity the short's ultimate goal - to combat bullying with minorities in conjunction with social anxiety.
