In 1983, three delinquents live in an abandoned carriage. Together they form a punk-rock band - Biqueira d'Aço. Psychologically unbalanced and with their emotions running high, they lead the band to ruin, destroying everything that was left to them.
“PUNKADA” explores how confined to one space, 3 people who have nothing to lose and that follow a punk motto, acting in un unpredictable, impulsive and insane way, end up destroying themselves.
The film accompanies Xico, a boy of few words who always dreamed of becoming a musician and who uses punk-rock as a cure for a society that failed him and a life in which he cannot see any kind of future projected. Together with Ruma and Tó-Rex he forms a non-functional band and feels like he's carrying the dream of music alone. The three live in an abandoned carriage outside the city, a filthy and decadent carriage resulting from the sexual, psychotropic and musical experiences that unfold there.
"PUNKADA" follows several fragments of the time of these three delinquents using a constant emotional crescendo.
"PUNKADA" is a short film produced by the senior students of the Cinema, Video and Multimedia Communication course at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. We are currently in the pre-production phase of the short filme and we resort to this campaign to obtain support in financing our project.
It is the first time that we have immersed ourselves in a project of this complexity. "PUNKADA" is a film without limits and that risks in all its details and can thus become something truly unique. As a team we developed a very strong connection with this story and these characters. We ask for your help to make it come to life.
