The amazing moto trip | LISBON-BEIJING-LISBON

After thousands of kilometers in this past years between Europe, Russia and Africa, Pedro Roque, Helder Serôdio and Nuno Pires have decided now to make a single journey witch will connect the Portuguese Atlantic coast to the Chinese Pacific coast. These experienced pilots will go all the way to the Popular China Republic and all the way back to Portugal in just two months.

This is a project in witch one of the biggest challenges has it begin before they place the key in the ignition. The logistics behind this kind of adventure takes several months of preparation and carries huge costs. The diversity of countries that will be crossed involves a big collection of necessary documentation, with high costs, related to the entry policies in those countries. More than 25 nationalities will be part of this adventure and in some of them the time it will be allowed for us to be there is very short.

Cities, hills, valleys, deserts, nomadic communities, a lot of unic experiences will mark this journey and will pass in front of our eyes. With this same consciousness I, Pepe Brix, will document the entire journey, expressing myself through the tool I feel more connected to: photography. In order to be able to keep the whole journey in my backpack and bring the best it to all of you, this photographic project will then be transformed into a traveling exhibition that will tour some parts of the country and a collection of postcards which will gather the experiences and the magic places of great adventure. It is the willingness to share and the need to cover some of the biggest costs that Crowdfunding idea arises.

About the author

Pepe Brix was born in 1984 on the island of Santa Maria, Azores. Son and grandson of photographers he started early his activity and in this past few years he has traveled the world to photograph. Europe, Peru, Ecuador, India and Nepal were some of the latest converted odysseys into photographic exhibitions throughout the country. These trips yet emerged the publication of two books co-authored with Daniel Gonçalves, "rumors for the silence transparency" and "essay on the length of silence".

More recently Pepe was on board one of the 13 survivors of the Portuguese fleet of cod fishing in the rough seas of the northwest Atlantic ocean. This adventure resulted in the photographic project "Postal Code: A2053N" published in the February 2015 National Geographic Portugal edition.

Budget and due dates

Cost of visas (value to be used until 20 April) - 1500€
Stays-related (considering the period of travel. Many times we will use the tents we take to mitigate these costs) - 1200€
Printing costs of postcard collection and photographs to the exhibition.
(value to be used up to 2 months of our arrival in Lisbon) 800 €
I hope to have the exhibition opened until the end of 2015 and the postcard collection ready to share by the end of September.
