Save Messi

The funds raised are intended to restore the Messerschmitt KR200 , a micro car in exhibition in the Museu do Caramulo .

This project aims to restore the micro car that represents the micro cars industry as a strategy for the resumption of eceonomia and the automotive industry in the postwar period.

With the restoration, estimated at 5.000€, we intend to preserve the historical and cultural heritage associated to the automobile, to make it available to all who want to know this world historic landmark.

The restoration includes the following works:

- placing the Glass of the cabin;

- sheet metal repair;

- new paint;

- upholster the interior; 

- mechanical repair of the engine and the gearbox;

- electrical repair;

- put four new tires; 

- put new rear lights.

About the author

The Museu do Caramulo is an entity of public utility and non-profit open to the public for over 60 years. Located in the Serra do Caramulo - Portugal, has been visited by over a million and a half people.

Founded by brothers Abel and João de Lacerda, includes art collection, motorbikes and bicycles, antique toys and miniatures, as well as a unique car collection that recreate the history of national and world automotive industry.

In recent years it has been organizing a series of artistic activities and event, attached to their collections, like Caramulo Motorfestival, the Motorclássico, the Spirit of Caramulo, the Rider or the Night of Museums, in order to publicize the museum and their collections and to capture an ever wider range of audience.
