The 7 sins of a play

Welcome! 17th of November of 2015 at Tivoli BBVA Theater - 9:30 p.m by “Armazém Treze Lisboa”

“Armazém Treze Lisboa” has the pleasure to announce that our creation, “The 7 sins of a play” (in the original, “Os 7 pecados do espectáculo”), directed by Miguel Roxo Tira-Picos, will rerun on the 17^th of November of 2015 in Tivoli BBVA Theater's main auditory.

The play exposes a farce scenario that invites  you to reflect upon the world of showbusiness and its backstage: it shows what the public wants to see, what no one wants to see and what no one sees at all. The conceptual, the excess, the “favours”, the love affairs, the plagiarism, the greed and the sabotage, are the seven sins that are present in each artist's daily life. We expose all those faults and show the public what it really wants to see.

On stage, the scenery of life is conveyed by showing both the artist and the person inside it, and also by reflecting upon the daily effort of the long hours needed to make a performance. And despite the effort and the fatigue at the end, the artist always has to start all over again.

Shall we have some fun? Enjoy the drama, the comedy and eventually, thousands of emotions! With this rerun, we hope to reach all media, but mostly reach the heart of our audience. Because that's what being an artist is all about!

About the author

ADN – Artistic Development Nucleus is a Cultural Association dedicated to support and develop contemporary circus in all its strands since 2007. Within this perspective ADN created the Project Armazém 13, which is a cultural project that, in addition to  develop  Circus Performing Arts in Portugal, aims to establish a Space of Creation of Contemporary Circus in Lisbon.

By combining two nucleuses, ADN and Evil Angels the project Armazém 13 was born. Armazém 13 is currently located in a large space in Avenida Gomes Pereira, 11, Benfica, Lisbon, after total renovation and adaptation.

This project aims to develop activities of creation, technological innovation, research, trainning and promotion of circus and performing arts, both for members and for interested performers, students and artists in the area. It is, therefore, a multidisciplinary project in the field of performing arts and technology for artistic creation.

Armazém 13 develops aerial and floor acrobatics classes, exchange experience space for artists, children circus classes, dance classes, concerts, cabarets, interesting meetings with the comunity, trainning space, a bar, lounge for parties and much more for its associates.

The Project Armazém 13 is dedicated to whoever is dedicated to enrich circus performance.

Budget and due dates

Our goal is to reach as many people as possible. We intend to print flyers and posters and spread them all over the city of Lisbon. To do that, we need your help. As little as 1€ is very important for us and our budget. We would like to reach, if possible, 1.000€ by the end of September. We plan to spend October and November publicizing the play. Besides this, we also need to obtain representation licences and pay musical rights. Since we are a non-lucrative association, without any sort of financial support, we resort to crowdfunding to help us with the pre-production and the post-production phases.
