All together hands to the Work- Let's help Focinhos e Bigodes !!

Focinhos E Bigodes need to reopening the floor of the kennel, which threatens to collapse, which may endanger the health and well-being of animals in shelter. It also has to correct sewers and renovate the electrical installation.

We are a Association that shelters abandoned animals, recovers them and seeks to integrate them into families, that adopt them responsibly. With about 12 years of existence in Lisbon, many are the animals that today are happy with their families.

Actualy in shelter we have sixty dogs, some already very old. Everyone is important to us who voluntarily, every day, treat them, love them and guarantee the health and hygiene conditions for them to live happily.

Our Association lacks volunteers who want to commit to these animals, need food donation and pharmacy. Monetary aid is essential to cover the costs of day-to-day living.

The facilities of the Kennel, are old and have not been refurbished, so it has been degrading greatly.

Due to the bad weather this winter, the pavement outdoor the dog Kennel has been felled, cracked and broken, and doesn´t provide safety guarantees for animals. On the other hand, the sewage system of the facilities is degraded, often clogging, by dragging lands and sands from the sewage itself.

The electrical installation is old and does not meet the standards required today, nor does it correspond to current needs.

In order to be able to continue our work and provide good conditions to the animals that we have in shelter, these interventions are essential and urgent.

In order for the work to be carried out, affected animals will have to be housed in a hotel, which entails costs.

 Focinhos e Bigodes needs a lot of help from partners, volunteers, sponsors and friends, as well as from all those who want to collaborate in this cause, to achieve this work, which has become urgent.

The amount requested in the campaign, considers labor and construction materials to use and includes IVA.

Focinhos e Bigodes-Zoophile Association for the Protection of Abandoned Animals and Environment is a non-profit organization, formed in 2006 by volunteers with the mission to recover the lives of abandoned animals and give them shelter.
They work daily with the objective of minimizing the suffering of animals at risk, providing them with veterinary care, food, affection and shelter.

All animals protected by Focinhos e Bigodes  are vaccinated, dewormed and sterilized.

It is sought to direct the animals to a responsible adoption capable of offering them stability and security for the future.

Budget and due dates

Budget:

• Demolish (chop the whole plate) and reinforce with broken glass bottles;
• Making screed throughout the outdoor area;
• Recycling of all materials of the work;
• Installation of new sewage pvc in the exterior with opening of several cleaning boxes;
• Installation of new sewers for washing machines;
• Installation of a power grid;
• Placement of a raised cement plate for the machines;
• New sewage in corridor with grille covers with sewer box;
• Review the electrical installations in the new frame taking into account the installation of the machines with new circuit breakers.

The budget with all the material included is a total of € 8,548.50 (VAT included).
