PHARMAKON

PHARMAKON is a short film under development within the scope of the Final Project of the Graduation in Technology of Audiovisual Communication at the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design.

This project consists of a short fiction film that tells the story of Gabriel who is in his last moments of brain activity, during which an old acquaintance of his, Carlota, invades his thoughts, making him remember the insecurities and conflicts that existed between them. These conflicts lead him to misrepresent what really happened during his last encounter with the young woman, in something much more sinister.

In view of the external adversities facing the school's students, we were forced to resort to crowdfunding to obtain a budget, in order to carry out this project and complete our cycle of studies. As film production is a very expensive area, it is not possible for us to cover all the expenses that are inherent to them, through our own means.

Therefore, we appreciate all contributions, no matter how symbolic, they are all important and help to bring this project to fruition.

The PHARMAKON team contains students from the third year of the Graduation in Technology of Audiovisual Communication at the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design, who came together to create this film, which originated from a collective idea, inserting dedication, collaboration, confidence and passion in the implementation of this same project, born out of the fascination with cinema and willingness to contribute to the growth of Portuguese cinema.

Budget and due dates

At the moment, this project is in a pre-production phase, with plans for shooting in the last week of May, this year. All the money will be used for transportation, food and hygiene expenses, as well as for obtaining décors for art direction, etc.

This project will not have financial support from the academic institution, and because of that, we ask for your support so that we can make this film the ideal way.

This project can only be financed if the presented objective is reached in its entirety, otherwise the entire amount of the contribution will not be used and will be returned in full. Any type of support is appreciated, so share the campaign with your friends and family.
