Crowndfunding 31st Anniversary Rita

This is a personal crowdfunding. Although I have the monetary objective of increasing the freedom fund of my business, the main intention is to be able to start working 100% on my brand and focus all my energy.

2. Create content and tools that help pregnant women, couples and anyone else to recognize, remember or discover the importance of making informed and conscious choices according to their desire(s), will(s) and values;

3. Generate change (in myself and in others) and therefore contribute directly and indirectly to a world in continuous evolution.

Project History

• January 2020 – launch of the 1st version of the project;
• May 2020 – launch of the podcast As Conversas da Rita
• October 2020 – Launch of the Conscious Pre-Conception Summit
• May 2021 – Launch of Um Mais Um Egual Um Podcast
• July 2021 – Full-time Project Launch and Start-up
• January 2021 – Launch of the 1st edition of the Group Program
• March 2021 - Launch of Individual Mentorship

After the start-up in July 2021, the business is now at the stage of knowledge and trust by the target audience and starting to grow

For what purpose will I use this €?

• Guarantee the 3 month business freedom fund - € of expenses necessary for the business to survive alone for 3 months
• Financial Distribution (inspired by Mike Michalowicz's “Profit First” concept)
  • Profit - 5%
    • Freedom Fund
    • Profit Distribution – team or hiring
  • Donations – 5%
  • Expenses (which includes salary) – 62%
    • Salary (60%*Expenses) - 24.80%
    • Expenses (40%*expenses) - 37.20%

Achieving the goal will allow me to participate in 2 contests where I have access to the mentoring and investment necessary to grow and scale. They are Impact Hub Lisbon and the Acredita Portugal Program, from Montepio. for someone else and I will not be able to continue in these competitions that require my weekly presence during working hours.

I leave a few brief notes:

• I understand that for many people it is difficult to understand entrepreneurship, especially with the digital component. But I ask you to look at my request with some curiosity and openness.
• I'm not asking you to be an investor in my business. I could be asking you for my 31st birthday sneakers but I'm asking you for a monetary contribution. That's why I ask you:
  • If I called you today to say that I would really like to have coffee with you, you would offer me right?
  • If I called you to say: I'm really tired of cooking and I would like to spend time with you in a restaurant by the sea, would you offer it?
• I know it's easier to offer me a €60 perfume or a €30 watch.Breaking a myth here, I propose a paradigm shift: “Don't treat others as you want them to treat you, but treat them as they want be treated” 😉

I'm Rita. I was born and raised in Porto and I love Portugal. For several years I thought my life would just be traveling the world. uring adolescence I created the expectation that the words success and happiness were synonymous with accumulating countless experiences, studying abroad and volunteering. Furthermore, I believed that it defined who I am. This led me into the vicious cycle of doing, dependent on external validation and praise.

When I got pregnant for the first time I felt a lot of clarity and energy, something inexplicable. Despite that, I became very permeable to the opinions and hunches of others and I often let chaos take over my life. I wasn't aware of my limits and when I was, I couldn't communicate them honestly and lovingly. Months later, already postpartum, I couldn't say no to anyone, I filled the house with people and I didn't realize the spiral I had gotten myself into. When the hustle of the first few months passed and my partner went to London I realized how much I liked and needed to be alone and have moments alone with my daughter. Above all, I became aware that I had many unfulfilled needs. I now needed to materialize these changes in my life.

Then I found conscious parenting and mindfulness. Then non-violent communication along with the work of a Doula. In an organic and fluid way I started to live my motherhood in a more conscious and present way. Then, already pregnant with my son, I had a positive pregnancy and childbirth experience and I felt connected and full - even though I was experiencing giant challenges with the confusion and fear of the beginning of the pandemic.

In addition, I became aware of my values and also of vulnerability. I learned to stop, to take personal responsibility without guilt and to ask for help. This allowed me to enjoy a postpartum period in isolation, move from home to the seaside and finally share my business with the world without shame or fear. But best of all my relationships have transformed. First with myself, then with my nuclear family, and finally with the rest of the world.

Budget and due dates

Objective: Achieve Business Freedom Fund.

• 3 months salary - €3750 - 3 x €1250
• 3 months of the email marketing platform (ConvertKit) – 24 € (3 x 8 €)
• Contribution to PPL platform + fees – 283.05 + 65.102 = €380.15 (VAT included)

• The crowndfunding is open until the 13th of May and you as a supporter have two chances

  • Conditional support – that is, if the goal is not reached or exceeded, the amount is returned to you
  • Unconditional support – regardless of whether or not the goal value is reached, the value you provide will still be sent to me.
