ONIRIS

ONIRIS is a short film within the scope of the Final Project of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication Technology at the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design.

Synopsis

In a digital age where everything is fast and efficient, human beings are unable to develop meaningful relationships. Lia, an unhappy young woman from this formatted society, struggles with the loss of her father and consequent loneliness. After receiving an offer that promises to solve all her problems, Lia will have to make a choice: the comfort of the virtual world, in which she will have total control over her life, or the coldness of the real world and the virtues of human experience.

About the Director

Raquel Levi is the director of Oniris. Having attended the Interpretation course at Escola Profissional Balleteatro, she developed an early interest in the creation and process preparation of an artistic work. Since then, she has been developing several projects in the cinema area, always proposing himself to the position of director. With this project, she plans to deal with a complex and current theme and, for that, to unite all the sensitivity and knowledge she has acquired in recent years.

About the author

The “ONIRIS” team consists of finalist students from the Degree in Audiovisual Communication Technology and the Degree in Multimedia from the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design.

We are a united team with a huge passion for cinema and that is what motivates us to do these jobs.

Despite the situation that the country is currently experiencing, we are committed to making this short film a reality, always working in collaboration and with great dedication.

Budget and due dates

The project is in the pre-production phase and the shooting of the film is planned for the second week of May.

All the money raised will be directed towards production expenses, such as transportation and food, but it will mainly be for help in hiring actors and will also be our way of helping culture.

This is an academic project, however we will not have financial support from the institution, hence the need for your support in order to make the film the way we imagine it, with the necessary resources and all the security.
