Projects' Concept
This is a concept album. Virar DaSquina's first.
This is a story that belongs to our History, but adapted to reality. Pedro and Inês today.
The entire album will narrate a story with beginning, middle and end. Although they can be heard separately, the tracks have a thread and plot.
The entire album will be in Portuguese. Will have 11 tracks in total.
Framing a gender, we can say that is a mixture of rock, jazz, prog and pop. Always with many variations of gender, tones, rhythms and times.

The Virar DaSquina
A "young" project but with already some gigs given in some respectable stages, the little aspiring musicians keep going forward step by step and conquering the claps and respect of everyone who hears them. A project founded in 2010, Virar Dasquina blend together several genres of music, thusly creating a personal style they've always craved for and that suits the likes of each band member. Joining the together keys, vocals, drums, guitar and bass guitar, these young musicians keep going in the world of music looking for a way to captivate all the curious minds and music lovers. With a new structure different from the one in 2010, the alliance of Nuno Meneses (Keyboard), Ana Rodrigues (Vocals), João Cunha (Drums and Percussion), João Alves (Lead Guitar) and Mário Ribeiro (Bass), keep chasing their dreams, striving to find their luck, just around the corner. (Ao Virar da Esquina).
For the most curious the name came up like a turn of a corner (virar da esquina). We wanted a name in portuguese that would get stuck in people's heads.What can we find at the turn of the corner? You never know. As uncertain as the music style. Usually a nice suprise. That is what we are. Music lovers and the people who like it.
