We are gonna make a great Street Carnival party and for that we need your help! It will be a great free event at Ribeira das Naus, heading to the grand finale at Boteco da Dri. With your support we will have an unforgettable celebration with lots of joy and excitement!
For the second consecutive year, the partnership of singer Fábio Allman with the Street Carnival Band Bué Tolo, will win the streets of Lisbon for another Carnival! Let's party on the streets of Lisbon!
On February 23, Carnival Sunday, the big party is confirmed. The concentration of the drummers begins at about 12 noon at the kiosk of Ribeira das Naus, one of Lisbon's postcards, overlooking the Tagus River and the 25 de Abril Bridge. After the presentation, the parade continues towards the alley where the Boteco da Dri is located, in Cais do Sodré. After the parade, we will have our closure party at Boteco da Dri, with "batucada" and DJ for a big ending. And to kill the hunger of the audience we will have the traditional brazilian snacks, such as coxinhas, kibes and empadas, in addition to the perfect cold beer!
Our Street Carnival Band is formed mainly by the students from the Brazilian Percussion Workshop (WPB Workshop de Percussão Brasileira em Lisboa), which has began in October 2018 and is led by Fábio Allman and Leonardo Mesquita. The drummers will be ready to make everyone sing along and dance to the sound of the tradittional brazilian rhithms such as samba, xote, coco, marchinhas, funk, maculelê and much more!
In addition, we have the powerful voice of Fabão and the conductor Leonardo Mesquita, and will also have the more than special participations of the incredible percussionists Zezinho Gotelipe and Pedrinho Moreira and of Marcus Nabuco playing the cavaquinho and the guitar.
To make this beautiful celebration happen we need your support to help pay for the sound equipment and the transportation of our instruments.
Support us, be part of this party and come have fun with us!
