MARITIME CONTAINERS

It is intended to install a public bathhouse and pavilion multipurpose from four shipping containers as a way to support a population of 800 people. The aim is to give the minimum dignity to people living in sub-human conditions. One of the containers will be for a bathroom and the rest for a public domain space called Experimental Social Space that will serve as a waiting room for the school bus, ATL space for children, Social Center for the population, training room, etc.

It is intended to install a public bathhouse and pavilion multipurpose from four shipping containers as a way to support a population of 800 people. The aim is to give the minimum dignity to people living in sub-human conditions. One of the containers will be for a bathroom and the rest for a public domain space called Experimental Social Space that will serve as a waiting room for the school bus, ATL space for children, Social Center for the population, training room, etc. This space will be the first place to approach social intervention with this population and at the same time a space for hygiene and improvement of public health of this population.

About the author

The purpose of the association is:

Represent the Portuguese Gypsy mediators;
Promote actions for mediators in the areas of education, housing, health, training; employment conflict management.
Establish partnerships with organizations in their respective fields, at local, national and international levels.
Promote the formation of new mediators;
Promote continuity of training for mediators;
Promote Gypsy culture;
Promote events and meetings in the area of ​​mediation.
In the specific case AMEC intends to place four maritime containers to give some dignity to the adverse conditions that this population lives:

300 gypsies using only one tap (placement of a bathroom container)
800 for the placement of three sea containers to serve as a school bus waiting room, ATL for children, community center - EXPERIMENTAL SOCIAL SPACE taking into account the primary conditions of the physical space and the population
