Mateus is a firefly fish collector. On a sunny morning, after spending the previous night at the beach together with his sister Matilde, the boy wakes up to a soft kiss on the face from a girl who claims to be a mermaid. The sight of the stranger will awake sensations Mateus had never experienced before.
Ouro Sobre Azul is a short film produced by a group of final year students in Film, Video and Multimedia Communication degree course at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies (Lisbon, Portugal). Following a long multistage selection process, the project won the approval of the College of Professors and guest professionals in the Portuguese film industry to proceed to the production phase. This is now the most difficult journey, so we are using this medium to help get funding for our short which will start to be filmed in May of 2019.

We are a group of final year students in Film, Video and Multimedia Communication degree course at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies (Lisbon, Portugal). The university partially funds the film but due to the various production costs extra funding is needed.
