GASTagus is a non-profit youth NGO that promotes the active citizenship of young people through national and international volunteering.
GASTagus is a non-profit, non-governmental development organization founded in 2008 with the aim of empowering and sensitizing young people to active citizenship, the importance of human dignity and the social inequalities that exist in the world through promotion of national and international volunteering. GASTagus does not develop its own projects, but always in partnership with a local partner (association, parish or NGO) that welcomes our volunteers and sets priorities for the work to be done.
At this moment, GASTagus partners are located in Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe.
The objective of our mission is that during the month of August the volunteers can intervene in order to complement the work already developed by the partner throughout the year. Complementing how? With all the experience acquired by the volunteer throughout the process of training and fundraising. This is a process that encourages, in addition to teamwork with the other volunteers, to have a greater social awareness.
As a non-profit organization and not willing to create any kind of burden for our partners and volunteers, the objective of this campaign is to raise the funds needed to finance the travel and stay of a volunteer on an international mission, in order to continue our projects in any of the destinations where Gastagus operates (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe).
