Let's help Sara to go to the YAGP 2018 Final in New York

Sara was invited to participate in the "Youth American Grand Prix 2018" Final, in New York, next April. Through this campaign we intend to raise funds to helps her to realize this dream.

Sara, 11 years old, has been in the Ballet since she was 4 years old. He debuted as a soloist in April 2017, in the 14th edition of "Dançarte - Algarve International Dance Competitions".

In December of 2017 participated in the Semifinal of the "Youth American Grand Prix 2018" that took place in Barcelona, ​​where it entered the TOP 12 of contemporary dance, in the pre-competitive stage.

The list of guests for the Final was announced on December 24 and was the largest Christmas gift Sara could have received. She did not even want to believe it ... It was a dream come true ... and on December 26th she arrived via email, the official invitation we make a point of sharing with you.

We could not decline such an honorable invitation, even though only four Portuguese dancers were invited to this Semifinal and Sara was the only one in the pre-competitive stage.

However, and because their participation has very high associated costs for a large family of 5 siblings, the need arose to create this campaign in order to raise 1000 €, which will help in expenses related to the enrollment, travel, stay, meals and travel.

We appeal to family and friends, friends of friends, friends of family and still, so far "unknown", to become supporters of this campaign and to contribute what they can, so that Sara realizes the dream of any dancer, to participate in the final of one of the most prestigious international competitions of classical and contemporary dance. It was with this contemporary dance floor, titled "Ognevushka" by Professor Evgeniy Belyaev of the Algarve Dance Company, performed at the Barcelona Semifinal that Sara was invited to participate in the 2018 Youth American Grand Prix Final, which will be held in New York next April.

About the author

My name is Sara Brás and I'm 11 years old. I started to perform Ballet at the age of 4 at the Maria Campina Conservatory in Faro. At the age of nine, after my teacher told my mother that I was very fit and that I should bet more on the Ballet, I decided that I was going to audition this year to join the Algarve Dance Company. That was what happened in June 2015 and it was when I began to rehearse much more and to evolve. In October of this year I was invited to participate in an intensive dance training program, a project of the Company.
