Vortex F1 Racers - towards the world championship

The campaign is intended to raise money for the team " Vortex F1 Racers ", inserted in the project " F1 in schools ", for the National phase.

F1 in Schools is the only global multi-disciplinary challenge in which teams of students aged 9 to 19 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race miniature compressed air powered balsa wood F1 cars.

The National phase will take place on May 19th in Figueira da Foz.

About the author

Our team is composed by 6 members attendding the "Alves Martins" highschool in Viseu and 3 of them have already participated in the project before.  In addition, the team has partnerships with Universities and Politecnics to ensure our success. Therefore, our maximum goal is to achieve the world championship and we believe that, with the right amout of work, we will achieve it.

Budget and due dates

We estimate that the budget required for the national phase will be about 1000 euros due to the need of materials for the construction of the car and the stand. Our goal in the crowdfunding campaign is only 500 euros owing to aditional sponsorship.

We hope to reach this mark before May 19th, when is scheduled the National phase.
