"Terceira's Carnival" is the culmination of a project carried out in order to value the tradition of the island with regard to Carnival.

Terceira's Carnivall is very old and very peculiar, and there is a strong possibility of this tradition have influences century. XVI.

It is a popular tradition where fun is combined with theater, dance, music and political and social critique.

Each parish organizes dance groups or bailinhos rehearse the interpretation of social satire comedy, composing songs, rehearse choreography, create their clothes and run through the various parishes of the island.

During the days of Carnival will be carried out, in the halls of the parishes, a photo contest subordined to the theme of the Island Carnival.

Each participant may submit up to 3 photos per day of celebration, beginning on February 13 and end on 17 February.

The best photos will be printed and displayed in the weeks after the Carnival, more specifically on 11 March to 3 April in the foyer of the Cultural Centre of Angra do Heroismo, moving to the Teatro Angrense, for a tribute to the theater, held in partnership with the City of Angra do Heroismo.

ICHTUS is a youth association created to December 2, 2013, with the objective of increasing the active participation of youth as a promoter of integral development, individually and collectively, to promote initiatives in the field of solidarity, local youth mobility, regional and international , artistic development, culture, sport, leisure activities, environment, training, health, education, entrepreneurship, information, social volunteering or others deemed relevant, contributing to the development and the acquisition of skills and or skills that facilitate the processes promotion, social inclusion and social integration and the exercise of active citizenship and responsible young people.

We are a team of 5 young people with a lot of motivation and pride in the work done by us.

Our direction is composed of: Bruna Aguiar Melo, Paul Avila, Duarte Melo, Leila Pinheiro and Ricardo Braz.

In this short existence of the association already vincamos our place in the field of the Azorean associations and have established strong partnerships with both the City of Angra do Heroismo, in several areas, as well as with the Youth Regional Directorate of the Azores and the IES - Institute of Social Entrepreneurship.
