Brauller - A pen and a ruler always on hand

From two fundamental instruments for professionals such as architects and designers i have created a new tool: the Brauller, a pen, and a ruler that is also the case for the pen, now you can carry a pen and a ruler as if they were one single object - a technical tool.

As a designer my main tool is the pen that i always carry with me, it is from the tip of this instrument that all my ideas start to take shape. I´ve been searching for the right tool since my days as an architecture student, and i´ve been doing it, just like a craftsman searching for the perfect tool, you see, in my perception i see an architect/designer working on his drawings as a craftsman working on his products. I believe that both should be performed with great passion and with the beloved tools. As i never found a tool that pleased me i decided to create one - the Brauller, a pen,and a ruler that is also the case for the pen, so this way one can carry both, as if they were one single object, an object that looks like a technical tool, a tool that carries the image of architects and designers

 The Brauller (pen and ruler) weighs 60 grams (2,1oz)

 The Brauller is sculpted from the finest aluminum and then all components are anodized, so the Brauller it is both light and resistant.

 The writing instrument

• We get used to our pen, and to write or to draw with a different instrument is sometimes a nightmare. On the other hand the pen we use every day is an accessory that we like to switch such as, for example  the clock. Thanks to a modular design you can change the look of your Brauller. In just a few seconds it will become a different pen but that remains the same on the essentials.
• One pen, four different looks - the available looks are: the "Gray Cut", the " Black Cut",  the "Night Cut" and the "Violet Cut". Each look is composed by a barrel and a knurled grip, so by mixing the looks you can obtain unique combinations.
• More looks? My goal is to continue to innovate the Brauller writing instrument, in the future there will be even more variety, new looks with different colors, shapes and materials, always compatible with the Brauller one is buying now.
• The Brauller writing instrument can be compatible with all major types of commercially available refills. The included refill is the Pilot BLSGC4 G-TEC GEL (black). This refill has a very precise line with only 0.2 mm thick. Live colors and a good dark black that drys instantly avoiding to get your hands dirty, smudging the drawing or leave smudges on the reverse of the sheet as occurs with traditional rollerball ink gel refills. The Pilot offers this refills in10 different colors

 The measuring instrument

• The scale of the ruler is laser engraved and can be in centimeters or inches.
• You can choose to purchase your Brauller with a scalimeter (architect scale), for this just add the reward "Architect Scales". Brauller measuring instrument can have two different scales, one on each side.

My name is Hélder Fernandes and i am the creator of the Brauller. I graduated in architecture and work as a designer for over a decade. My main interests are architecture, design, music and film. I believe there is always a solution, if it is difficult to find - better. 

I believe the crowdfunding platforms represent a new opportunity for new products and for emerging brands, which in my perspective translates into a benefit for the consumer , since the major brands that dominate the markets have the ability to stifle new products that sometimes are quite innovative . Therefore I believe that this is the time and crowdfunding platforms the right place to give life to some of my projects .
