The 3rd edition of the Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival is just around the corner!
And in order for this to remain one of those memorable moments, we need your help once again.
We are aware of fuel prices, rents, and grocery basket costs. We are not asking you for such madness. We only want to ask for your humble and possible contribution to this very noble non-profit cause. There are many good reasons to let the spirit of solidarity take over your heart. But there is one that is impossible to ignore:
The Zambujeira Bodyboard Festival is yours. It's ours. And it will always remain FREE.
To keep this festival alive, growing, and continuing to write this story—still young, but already with some, shall we say, interesting chapters—we're relaunching our crowdfunding campaign. Every donation counts. Whether it's small, medium, or the kind that says, "Okay, take this and don't bother me anymore."
And because we know there are many, many compassionate people out there, with hearts so big they barely fit in their chests, we have some rewards for those who decide to give a little extra.

About the author

The Zambujeira do Mar Bodyboarding Club is a non-profit organization, founded in 2010!

Its main mission is to promote and develop bodyboarding, both as a sport and as a culture! It also has a strong environmental component.

Since its creation, it has promoted a series of events, such as championships, coaching clinics, bodyboarding lessons, beach cleanups, rescue training, social gatherings, etc.

Our bodyboarding school is very popular in the community! With its very affordable prices, we introduce many young people to the sport every year!

At a competitive level, we have success stories, such as a national under-14 champion in 2022 (Matias Baço), and the national runner-up in the dropknee discipline (Matt Davies)!

Budget and due dates

To make this festival happen, NBZM has some institutional support, as well as some private sponsorships!

However, in order to keep the festival free for everyone, while also trying to raise the bar in terms of quality (infrastructure, conditions, etc.), every bit of help is welcome!

Since we are only a small association, we have limited funds of our own, which we have to distribute among our various areas of activity: bodyboarding school, competitions, etc!

With that in mind, and since we created this festival for everyone, we're using this crowdfunding campaign to try and reach €3,500 (even better if we exceed that), which will allow us to cover expenses associated with:

- overnight stays for bands and staff

-Food

- Security
