Helping Ensemble B11 provide community support in Venezuela.

Following the tragic earthquakes in Venezuela, the Tradidanças Festival and the BUALA Portal intend to support the musical group Ensamble B11 in helping their community.

Following the tragic earthquakes in Venezuela, the Tradidanças Festival and the BUALA Portal intend to support the musical group Ensamble B11 in helping their community.

Following the tragic earthquakes in Venezuela, we reconnected with Belkys Figuera, the coordinator of the musical collective Ensamble B11, who performed at the Tradidanças Festival in 2024 and surprised everyone with the quality and creativity of their work.

This summer, Maria Prata spoke with Belkys Figuera to discover the journey of this original and surprising group that blends Afro-Venezuelan traditions with beatbox drumming, a cappella music following gospel traditions and harmonies, string and percussion instruments, invocations for dance, celebration and ritual with ancestral and contemporary sounds. You can read about it here: Tradidanças, ainda há encontros humanos francos | BUALA

Now, through the Tradidanças Festival and the BUALA portal, we are sharing a fundraising campaign so that the community connected to the musical group EnsambleB11 can continue to directly help people in Venezuela. The use of the collected funds will be disclosed.
