“Together Creating Happy Stories” was born from the certainty that a simple story can transform the day of a child facing the burden of a hospital room, the distance from family, or the loneliness of an institution. Each page read becomes an invisible embrace, a moment of hope, an unexpected smile.
Imagine the sparkle in the eyes of a hospitalized child as they open a book written by other children, especially for them. Imagine the excitement of discovering that they too can be part of this adventure, becoming a co-author of dreams, emotions, and happy memories. It is in this exchange of affection, imagination, and love that true magic happens.
At the same time, the children who write these stories discover the power of empathy and sharing. They feel immense happiness knowing that their words can travel to someone who needs comfort, joy, and companionship. Little authors become giants in the hearts of other children.
With this initiative, Ajudaris aims to bring the "Ajudaris Stories" to the pediatric wards of 5 hospitals that are still waiting for this gesture of love.

Reading to a hospitalized child is much more than telling a story. It's about alleviating fears. It's about creating moments of lightness on difficult days. It's about offering emotional comfort to both the child and the family that accompanies them. Studies prove the benefits of playful reading for children's well-being, but those who experience these moments know that the impact goes far beyond words.
For 18 years, Ajudaris has been transforming children into young, compassionate authors through the "Ajudaris Stories" project, promoting literacy, creativity, and fundamental human values. From Portuguese schools to communities in Switzerland, Germany, and São Tomé and Príncipe, thousands of stories have united children through imagination and solidarity.
Each book is a magical universe made of dreams, colorful illustrations, and messages of hope. Every donation is a step towards enabling more children to smile, imagine, and feel less alone.
Last year, thanks to the solidarity of sponsors and supporters, it was possible to reach 50 hospitals, 10 Family Health Units and 2 care homes, spreading reading, imagination and hope throughout the country.
